Go Swim will deliver a series of mass participation swim events at Loch Tay, Loch Lomond, and Loch Morlich. We welcome all Open Water Swimmers to our Go Swim Events and want to make the events as inclusive as possible.

The following guide aims to give you all the information you need to allow you to make a decision about entering one of the events. It aims to cover those with mobility needs, those who are visually impaired (VI swimmers), and anyone else who may need some support to access the swims. Everyone has their own needs, so please contact us to discuss how we can support you in your chosen venue and swim at info@go-swim.uk

All our swims are delivered with a full safety team of paddlers and motorised safety craft who are experienced in event swim safety.

Whilst we strive to make the Event and its activities as inclusive as possible, there might be some barriers that we may not be able to remove fully. Support swimmers can offer a solution to this and support with access. If any disabled or adaptive swimmer requires a support swimmer, this person can enter for no cost. Please book your entry as normal, and then email info@go-swim.uk with proof of disability and a second entry will be made available free of charge.

This applies to registration at all three of our swims.

Swim Access & Egress

Access to the start of your swim is from a concrete slipway, which is carpeted to the water’s edge. The Loch bed is stony to begin with but soon becomes sandy above waist depth. There is a gradual change of depth.

Your finish is on the same slipway.

The start/finish team can on hand to assist with any support in and out of the water and help with handling mobility aids.

For VI swimmers, please bring a tether, if you have one, for you and your guide to use. If you have any other equipment such as a vest or armband that is marked VI swimmer, please bring that with you. It will help others to be more considerate around you.
