Why Support SAMH?

Every year 1 in 4 of us in Scotland will experience a mental health problem.

Around since 1923, SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) is Scotland’s national mental health charity.

Today, they operate over 70 services in local communities across Scotland, providing mental health social care support, addictions and employment services, engagement with schools and further education, among many others.

Help us be there for people in Scotland:

  • One in ten adults say they feel lonely all or most of the time – this includes one in five young adults
  • 29.2% rejected referrals of young people to Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services
  • Over 50,000 people were admitted to hospital with mental health related conditions in 2023/24
